The mission of Communities In Schools (CIS) of Cape Fear is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

CIS Cape Fear places staff directly inside high-need public schools, who work with vulnerable students and those with the greatest risk of dropping out. 

CIS primarily serves “Title I” schools, which means the majority of students live in households near or below the poverty line. Each year, thousands of local students come to school facing barriers far bigger than homework, including homelessness, food insecurity and mental health challenges. We ensure they don’t face them alone. 

Donations are greatly appreciated and always go directly to the services we provide for our local youth.
